The Huntingdon Academy of Music is available to pre-college and adult learners throughout the Montgomery region offering private instruction in various instruments and voice. Students will enjoy interacting with an excellent faculty in an outstanding space. Huntingdon College’s Smith Music Hall is a centrally located facility for individual instruction, concerts, student recitals, and classroom instruction in music.
Offering private instruction in a number of instruments and voice, students will enjoy interacting with an excellent faculty in an outstanding space. Huntingdon College’s Smith Music Hall has been and will continue to be a centrally located facility for individual instruction, concerts, student recitals, and classroom instruction in music. Additionally, Smith will continue to be a focal point for important local music events, such as the Blount-Slawson Young Artist Concerto Competition, and AMTA, Boykin, and Guild auditions.
During the first year of operation, the Academy will focus on instruction in piano, jazz piano, violin, flute and voice. However, the program will expand into other areas of instruction as soon as possible.
The Mission of the Huntingdon Academy of Music is to offer pre-college and adult students in the Montgomery region excellence in music instruction, providing students an environment conducive to musical learning, growth, and maturity.
